OUR STORY

Hi, my name is Ellie (age 18), and I am the Founder of Room by Room.

Home is where my family has uber competitive game nights, pass down recipes, celebrate holidays, and binge watch our favorite shows on Sunday nights.  Home is where the big and little moments happen, it’s where memories and traditions are created.  

I believe that every family deserves a home that feels special and provides a sense of belonging. That’s why I’ve been volunteering with Humble Design since age 12.  Meeting clients, collecting donations, volunteering at the warehouse, and seeing how a home makeover can change a mindset has been an honor. 

Room by Room launched in 2020 during COVID when volunteering in person was not possible but the need to make a house feel like a home was ever more important. The curated, ready to go room kits safely and remotely helped transform spaces into warm, welcoming homes for deserving families.  

The Room by Room model continues on post COVID.  We meet quarterly with Humble Design to identify specific donation gaps and create new kits based on their feedback.  The room kits are intentional and focus on client requests.

I hope you’ll join me in giving a deserving family a fresh start and sense of stability.  A reset can change a mindset.
